This exceptional filter is capable of removing particulate as small as 5 microns, equivalent to the size of a human red blood cell.

The Hayward Pro-Grid W3DE4820 utilizes a set of grids coated in pool-grade diatomaceous earth. The grid set comprises 7 full grids measuring 18″ in length and 1 partial grid measuring 18″ in length. Built with glass-reinforced thermoplastic, the Pro-Grid tank ensures enhanced durability and extended product life. It incorporates a manual air relief valve that effectively eliminates air buildup in the tank, preventing it from forcing back through the system.

For efficient drainage, a 1-1/2″ drain is incorporated, and a one-piece flange clamp securely fastens the tank halves together. When removing the W3DE4820, ensure a minimum of 50.1″ vertical clearance. It is recommended to backwash the filter before removing the top lid to discharge the contaminated DE powder.
