The Hayward AquaTrol RJ Salt Chlorinator is conveniently installed vertically below the existing return jet, allowing for efficient integration into your pool system.

This Salt Chlorinator operates by automatically generating pure chlorine from the saltwater that passes through its cell plates. While still utilizing chlorine for sanitation purposes, the salt chlorinator ensures a purer form of chlorine. This salt chlorination process results in a luxurious swimming experience with soft and silky-smooth pool water, providing a more enjoyable environment for swimmers. By using the AquaTrol RJ Salt Chlorinator, you can enjoy sanitized and safe water, enhancing your overall swimming experience.

The installation of the Hayward AquaTrol RJ salt cell is straightforward. It is mounted vertically below the return jet using the right-angle cell mounting adapter. The lower end of the cell can be attached using either 2″ rigid PVC pipes or 1-1/2″ – 1-1/4″ flexible hoses. The AquaTrol control box features a digital interface with seven diagnostic indicators and a user-friendly salt display. It provides clear updates and evaluations through options such as Power, Generating, Super Chlorinate, No Flow, Test Salt Level, High Salt, and Inspect Cell. The control box is equipped with a straight-blade type plug-in cord and operates efficiently on 120V/15A power. Additionally, the AquaTrol includes a 24-hour timer that controls pump filtration in 15-minute segments, ensuring convenient and hassle-free pool maintenance.

The Hayward AquaTrol RJ package comes complete with all the necessary components for installation, including the control box, salt cell, union connections, and adapters for return jet mounting. Please note that a flow sensor is not required for this particular model. It is important to differentiate between the W3AQ-TROL-RJ and the W3AQ-TROL-HP models as they share the same owner’s manual to avoid any confusion when referencing the manual.
